Ask yourself this

by Kim on February 7, 2014

If you’re ever feeling low, ask yourself this: is your desktop wallpaper inspiring/cute enough?

This is my newest download from Smashing Magazine. It’s looking like it’s becoming my thing.

I also have this going on on my wall calendar:

There is basically no room for negativity around here.

Also, did I mention I like pink? I grew up surrounded by brothers, insisted on playing baseball instead of softball, and somehow still turned out girly.

Other things I like include surprise almond deliveries from Blue Diamond.

So thank you, Blue Diamond, and congrats on being named the official snack nut of the US Olympic ski team!

I don’t remember the last time I was this excited for a weekend at home! For some reason, everyone in our house is dangerously sleep deprived/borderline sick, and I’m hoping we’ll all be logging lots of hours with our pillows over the next two days.

Other highlights of the weekend agenda include:

–Ironing the new curtains I bought for the living room 2 weeks ago and still haven’t hung

–Going to the library with Mase to pick up all the books I’ve had waiting on hold for at least a week

–House cleaning, food/meal prep, laundry, working out, being a reluctantly responsible adult

–Planting seeds in my husband’s brain about Valentine’s Day ideas (jk, maybe…)

–Lots of power lounging (read: watching HGTV/the Olympics)

–Stepping foot outside as little as humanly possible (I hate to complain about the weather again, but this is NOT. RIGHT.)

–Possibly some productiveness related to this stuff

What are you up to this weekend?

xoxo

K

This weekend I am running a Tough Mudder. It is going to be crazy. This is my first one and I hear horror stories about how hard it is going to be. Wish me luck.

The Blue Diamond smokehouse ones are good. Your husband knows what is good.

I think I need a positive wallpaper on my laptop now. Right now it’s just a picture from my wedding day. Ugh, such terrible memories. (Who marries their dream guy?!?!? ;))

The almond stealing husband sounds like mine too. He’s always ready to dig into new stuff I get, that I have to bust out a whip to contain him (and no, we don’t have an actual whip, luckily the invisible one still works for the most part haha).

Blue Diamond are the best! Hope you all got some rest and are feeling better! The Love Nugget has been sick since Tuesday and I’m so over it! A yucky cold that he just can’t kick. Hoping it’s gone soon!

Just visited your blog and I like “Do things with passions or not at all” on your desktop, such a positive thinking :-D

I was so occupied with moving to a new apartment this weekend. Feel kind of tired now but look forward to my life in the new neighborhood.

I have a class I have to go to Saturday morning and then make time for homework and making some homemade cinnamon rolls to surprise my boyfriend when he comes home from a business trip.
When I saw “ironing curtains” I was like “so that’s how you get those creases out!” *facepalm* I hung curtains up in my old apartment with all the horrible creases just right in my face ha!

Painting! The ENTIRE house. Thankfully we have lots of helpers, so hopefully it will go by fast – cross your fingers for us! I love your wallpaper. So right. :)

GOOD LUCK Katie!! You are so ambitious and you have my very deepest respect!

Also, when I first read your comment about wallpaper, it was right after reading about you painting your house so for some reason I thought you meant real wallpaper, and in panic I thought “OH NO, WHERE in my house is there wallpaper?!?”

Who knew nuts could taste so good!

(Neither of us should probably be allowed on here.)

Hehe, cute! I’m also super excited about the nuts, and am hiding them from my family! And I’m also super sick of this weather. I just want it to be 20 degrees. Not even above freezing. I’d be happy with 20 degrees!
