Endure running tank giveaway!

by Kim on April 15, 2013

Guys, I’m SO excited about the giveaway I have for you today.

I know I already told you about it, but just to refresh your memory: how unbelievably cute is this tank top??

Endure Run TankFor some reason, the words on the back look like a sticker in this picture, but I assure you they’re not.

It’s by a company called Endure. They’ve been churning out piece after piece of incredible jewelry (mostly running-related) for years, but have just recently decided to dive into the world of apparel, too.

And, I have to say: so far, I’m LOVING what I’m seeing.

I especially dig how they included their signature little roadrunner on the hip of the Run tank. Mee-meep!

But before I get into all that, I’m afraid you have to suffer through a few pictures of my marvelous weekend first.

IMG_3209Of course, the one with the best smile is also the blurry one.
Standard.

Brent and I had a bet going over our NCAA tournament brackets. The loser had to clean all the bathrooms. Guess who THAT was?? And to think it was MY idea…

I finally tried it. And yes. It is as good as they say.
Like creamy gingerbread cookies.

IMG_3181Why is he straight-up blond all of a sudden?

20130412_135623New TJ’s purchases. I wanted to see if Mason would go for them, and if, maybe, I should consider getting into juicing. So far, he is NOT a fan of the carrot juice, but is warming up to the green juice…

In case it’s not painfully obvious, we had a very low-key weekend. On Saturday, the bathroom job evolved into a full-on spring cleaning spree, with basement reorganization and way-overdue dusting and a Goodwill trip. I did some writing, got a run in, and watched Fight Club for the first time in my life.

(It was a little, ummm, heavy for my taste, but very interesting with the twist at the end. I almost wanted to write a blog post about the whole concept of inventing an image of your stronger/cooler/more “ideal” alter ego—naming it, clothing it—as a way of bringing yourself closer to becoming that person…but I think I was probably the last person on earth to see that movie.)

Today, I volunteered at church and then spent some time following Mason up and down the street pushing his motorcycle while Brent fixed our kitchen sink. Wow, we’re a wild family, eh?

Yeah…

Ok! Back to Endure.

So far, they’ve created three tank tops. There’s the standard Run tank you see above, as well as a half marathon tank and a marathon tank. You can get any of them in black or white.

The folks at Endure were kind enough to send me the half marathon tank to review, and oh-my-gosh, I couldn’t have been more giddy when that package showed up in my mailbox.

Endure TankFreezing in 35 degrees for this awkward backyard photo shoot. Ha!

So here are my initial impressions:

–The cut is absolutely perfect. Seriously. I was so impressed with it. When I first held the tank up, I remember thinking, “oh, shoot, it seems big.” But it wasn’t at all. It’s a little longer, as you can see, but in a nice, slimming way, and in a way that makes it workable with either shorts or yoga pants. (For your reference: I’m 5’8” and I’m wearing a medium.)

The neckline falls exactly where you want it, the armpit loop is not saggy OR suctioned to your side, and the bottom gives you just enough room to move easily without bouncing up and down on your hips. (If you’ve ever experienced that, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about!)

Had I not wanted to show off my hot pink sports bra in the pics above, it would probably have covered my bra exactly.

–Obviously, I am a huge fan of the designs. To be clear, Endure did not come to me—I approached them because I was so in love with these designs and wanted to help them get the word out about them.

In case you can’t read the miniscule writing on the back, it says:

endure definition

–The fabric is ultra-soft and a good weight (not too heavy or thin). It’s not sweat-wicking or anything, obviously, but it’s great for a cotton/polyester mix.

I wore my tank on a run last night, and it was a dream. (It’s all about the cut—like I said, I was just SO impressed with that!)

I haven’t washed it yet, so I don’t know how the wording holds up in the washing machine. But it says it’s machine washable and tumble dry-able.

I love both of the tank designs and probably would love to wear the Run one in black as I haven’t completed a full marathon yet.

I would love this for my wife, she is conquering her first marathon in less than three weeks. My guess is that she would choose the Marathon Tank in Black. Her training is going great, she’s on the taper and feeling good. I will be running with her to share in the victory! Thanks for the chance to score one of these awesome tanks, great to show off an accomplishment.

Fight Club is such an intense movie, huh! Gosh your kiddo is cute! What a face!

I LOVE those tanks! How did I not know about these???? I love the Marathon tank and the Half (I’d probably get the Marathon tank as a gift for myself for finishing my first full one anyway). Even if I don’t win, I am sharing the link with all of my running friends because these are just too cute!
