First world problem: I never know if it’s favs or faves. I used to do favs, because you can’t ADD a rogue letter to a word if you’re shortening it, right? But then I realized I was pronouncing it with a soft a in my head, like “babs,” so everyone else probably was too. And that just ain’t right.
Yes, my life is complicated and serious.
Here are some things I’m loving this week…
–This ONE MONTH old (!!):
<comment about how fast they grow>
Should they EVER get my size back in stock, that is.
I’m *this close* to cramming my 8.5 feet into 5.5’s, Cinderella’s stepsisters’ style. (Did you know the original version of that story involved cutting off toes and heels?? Old school fairy tale writers had some seriously questionable imaginations.)
–Everybody’s all PUMPKINNNNS and I’m like:
If you can get your hands on this stuff, don’t think, just do it. It will change you.
Oh, and try not to look at that ingredient list…it’s a once a year treat!
–Anniversary flowers from the hubby:
We hit 5 years today! We’re celebrating tonight by renting the movie Neighbors and drinking wine. I bet we’ll be up until MIDNIGHT!
Haha—for real, though, we’ll probably get a nice dinner next weekend. We’re holding out because Brent’s mom will be in town for a different reason then and offered to babysit.
I could see myself living in this over the winter, with my go-to black legging/brown boot combo. I just need it to go on sale…OH WAIT, IT JUST DID! 40% off as of this morning!
Speaking of fashion, Ashley mentioned this fall fashion challenge and I’m intrigued. Basically, you’re given a seasonal capsule wardrobe to go buy, and then you’re fed daily outfit ideas out of the capsule. Genius!
Btw, I’m still on track with my capsule wardrobe plan for this fall. A chambray shirt was something on my list that I don’t have—check!
Ok back to food…
–It’s chin-drippin’ peach season!
Another of my must-haves for this time of year. These are melt-in-your-mouth perfect.
And the fact that the weather is perfect for daily park outings. Soaking it up while we can!
Good call on naming the company “Milk Shake Bar” and putting a giant delicious chocolatey image on the front—I’m already half sold.
And the FLAVORS…cupcake batter, chocolate mousse, ice cream sandwich, rocky road…!
I have yet to try this out, but I’ll let you know what I think!
—This girl’s big announcement!
SO happy for her and her family!
I just hope they’re getting a place with an extra bedroom, for when I move in. (I think I’ve made that joke enough times that she might actually be getting scared…)
Aaaand just one more baby pic—because baby pics.
–Meet chunky bath kid:
What’s something you’ve been loving this week?
Plans for the weekend?
I have about four hundred potential plans, but nothing set in stone.
My rationale: when you have a toddler and a newborn, the best way to get your plans sabotaged is to make them, amIright??
