There’s something I’ve been looking forward to saying for months…
My BodyFlow video is DONE!
(In case you’re like “hrmm?”: to complete my certification as a BodyFlow instructor, I had to record myself teaching a full live class and send it in for review. Talk about nerves!)
I had a really supportive class, which was nice—I got a big round of applause and lots of congrats at the end. The class itself wasn’t 100% perfect…of course I messed up a little on a part that I’d never messed up before, and did great on all the parts I was worried about (figures, right?)…but the instructor I was with said it was still passable, and well, that’s good enough for me baby!
To celebrate, I treated myself to a white chocolate au lait (coffee/milk—mmmm) and a trip to Trader Joe’s to poke around in the holiday goodies…again…
Which is how these happened:
You can see how eager I was to get into them by the giant, completely unnecessary rip in the corner.
Speaking of the holidays: how is Christmas less than 2 weeks away?? I have approximately ALL of my shopping left to do…hoping to take care of that this weekend (by loading up my Amazon cart from the comfort of my home, of course—thank you, technology, for saving me from the mall crowds).
I’m not sure if the boys know what’s about to happen, but they’re pretty darn festive, aren’t they?
We had a little photo shoot the other day with the personalized T-shirt and bib Bright Star Kids sent us. SO cute!
You’re probably not super familiar with the Christmas Alligator—neither was I—but maybe that should change. I mean, reindeer get all the attention and they aren’t even green.
Bright Star Kids is an Australia-based company—which confused me at first, since they have different sizing than I’m used to in the US (is Joshie a 00 or a 000?). But their products are worth the trip overseas!
In addition to personalized clothing (including really cute sibling and birthday shirts), they also have a huge range of wall decals. If I hadn’t already committed to the airplanes in Mason’s room, I’d be all over these construction truck stickers. (My kind of decorating: stick it and forget it.)
I couldn’t resist an extra bib for Joshie, because drool.
Question: do babies under 1 get Christmas presents? I think we got Mase a few things his first year, but we didn’t have that many toys at the time. Now, we have pleeeenty, and I’m pretty sure Josh isn’t going to care how new they are…
Anyway. My one concern with Bright Star Kids’ products is that I would have really loved something in long sleeves…but, of course, it’s warm in Australia right now! Those lucky ducks.
Don’t feel too bad for us: we’re expecting a heat wave of near-40 degree temps this weekend. 40!!! I honestly didn’t think we’d see numbers like that again until May.
Now that’s a reason to smile.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
