Google, then talk

by Kim on April 13, 2013

The other day, Miss Zippy posted pics of her new treadmill desk, which allows her to walk while working on her laptop. Genius! Right?

I’ve actually daydreamed about the awesomeness of this setup before, but I don’t have a bare treadmill deck like Miss Z’s to cleverly slip under a shelf.

And that’s when the idea hit. WHAT IF there was some kind of shelf one could ATTACH to a standard treadmill, on which one could place one’s laptop?? I immediately started hammering out an over-enthusiastic comment on Miss Z’s post, describing my brilliant solution with the words “BEST INVENTION EVER” and lots of dollar signs.

Unfortunately, I forgot the cardinal rule of our generation: “Google, then talk.”

Of course this already exists. I mean, come on.

Fine. But as far as I know, no one has invented my Watch-and-Go Glasses (which project images into space 4 feet in front of you so you can watch movies while running on TV-less treadmills).

I’m off to another complementary yoga session at lululemon this AM (complementary with an E—my favorite one!), but I wanted to pop in to share some reads (and that embarrassing story—sorry I put you through that) before I head out.

I have no idea how people are stealing my ideas before I even say them. Seems like the same thing is happening to you!

Thanks for the link ups, I’ll have to check them out.
