One of the coolest things about blogging (besides all these things) is that you can really easily go back and see what it was like inside your brain a year ago. Sometimes, it makes it really clear just how far you’ve come from that place.
I’m not going to lie and say it’s been a perfect, rose-colored year. Parenting has been challenging this year, especially while navigating the ups and downs of food allergies, speech delays, picky eating, sleepless travel habits, and toddler tantrums. But it’s also been rewarding, watching Mason learn to walk, eat real food, use sign language, and become much more mobile, social, and playful. Getting the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom all summer was awesome–it’s definitely a summer I’ll never forget.
There were also some big personal moments this year, like going back to work, having a miscarriage (actually two, to put it all out there), and studying to become a personal trainer.
I’ve also written a few blog posts over the past 12 months.
Here are a couple that stand out in my memory.
Thoughts
If you read healthy living blogs, remember this
Is it ok to make jokes about your body?
Fitness and mom guilt: it’s just not that simple
What does it mean to accept your body?
On pressure to lose the baby weight: how much can we blame the media?
Why I’m retiring from stay-at-home-momhood
Fitness
Commonly missed fitness opportunities
How well do you know your sweat?
I tried hot yoga (my first—and LAST—Bikram experience)
Running
How I trick myself into running
People who run races are totally insane
Trips
Not a bad year at all, really. :)

Here’s to 2014! Can’t wait to read all about it in a totally non-creepy way. ;) Praying that you have a GREAT year!
I think your first plan of action should be to plan a southern vacation. Just saying.

Screw the vacation–how about a relocation? I have no idea why I live here!
