I like to think of myself as The Girl Who Never Ever EVER Wins Blog Giveaways (Despite Trying Really Hard). –> [working title]
It’s kind of been my Thing.
So imagine my surprise/horror when I unexpectedly sabotaged by reputation by winning this gorgeous wrap bracelet from Momentum Jewelry!
Granted, there were 5 winners in the giveaway through Fit Approach, but I’m still just as honored/mortified, and now I’m scrambling for a new identity.
In the running: The Girl Who Won a Blog Giveaway One Time (But Totally Didn’t Deserve It). Thoughts?
I love the detailed photos my DSLR takes, but is it truly necessary for you to see each of my individual arm hairs? Probably not. I hope you can erase that from your memory with time.
All kidding aside, I’m thrilled about this bracelet! Love it! It is totally like a little wrist hug, as advertised–barely there.
I’m hoping to one day use it for instructing group exercise–my PiYo certification instructor taught us this trick. She wears a bracelet on her left wrist to remind herself which side of the room is the right side, from the group’s perspective, when she’s facing them to teach.
There were a bazillion phrases I could chose from for my bracelet, but Live Fearlessly spoke to me far above the rest. It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately, since I have some BHAGs (big hairy audacious goals, as lululemon calls them) that terrify me a little.
I keep reminding myself that the fear is actually a good sign that I’m going down the right path, since the biggest and best accomplishments in life are always scary at first. (More on those BHAGs very soon!)
The mail was totally blowing up yesterday. I also got this glorious pink surprise on my doorstep:
I swear I’m not just saying this because I’m a member of PopSugar, or because I love hot pink things, but this company is seriously amazing. They have the best workouts you can find online, awesome articles (not even talking about the one I wrote, but you can go read that if you want), and two killer new Must Have boxes (this one and the one they sent me last month).
I may or may not browse their career listings and fantasize about moving to San Fran on the regular…
Here’s a quick tour of the latest box:
First, I actually passed out on the floor after seeing the Emily Giffin book. How did they KNOW how much I love that girl’s books, and how I somehow haven’t read this one yet, AND how I’m fresh out of easy beach reads?? (I did pick this up recently, but it’s just a little…shocker time…dark.)
The turkish-t towel is gorgeous. I have no idea what to do with it, but it’s gorgeous. If you stare at it long enough, you’re actually transported to the remote paradise from the movie The Beach.
And here’s a shot of
my split ends the lollies hair ties in action:
What a genius idea–it’s a hair tie that’s designed to also look cute on your wrist, so we can all stop running around with plain black elastics on our arms all the time!!
And these…the word that comes to mind is heavenly.
The lemon box is full of wet wipes, half of which went directly into my purse. I like them a lot because they say YOU SMELL in huge letters. Marketing genius.
And of course, there’s food. I haven’t tried these yet, but I don’t think it’s possible for kettle chips to taste bad.
And Native Union sells cool electronics accessories, like this wild speaker/mini boom box that I’m probably not hip enough to own.
If you’re interested in snagging a subscription to the PopSugar Must Have program, so you can get a pretty pink box on your doorstep every month, you can get $10 off a 3-month subscription all through the month of June with the code JUNESELECT10. Check it out!
Disclaimer: POPSUGAR provided me with a complimentary POPSUGAR Must Have box. The opinions I have shared about the box are my own and POPSUGAR did not tell me what to say or how to say it.
I’m so pumped that another weekend is here! As usual, I have a million things to do, but much less of the housework/yardwork-style junk that dominated last weekend.
I’ve been toying with the idea of making one of my favorite meals in the world, even though it takes forever (or, possibly, I’m a really slow cook) and involves a zillion ingredients (>5 = a zillion). What do you think, good use of an afternoon? (Considering it’ll be gobbled up instantly.)
Do you consider yourself generally lucky or unlucky when it comes to giveaways?
Do you have a favorite recipe that’s super time-consuming (but worth it)?
Tell me something you’re doing this weekend!
