November Top Ten

by Kim on November 30, 2012

Guess what! A November Top Ten IN NOVEMBER! (Just barely.)

I’m going to blow past the usual intro (I’m excited for the weekend, something about the weather, yadda yadda) and get right down to business here-I want to hit Publish before December. I’m turning over a new leaf.

1. Top Engagement Pic Spot

Is this insane or what??

1000 year old trees in West Wales. Imagine a kissing couple way at the end there-right?? I’d be all over that if I were a West Walian.

I hope it doesn’t storm too much there…but then again, those roots must be a mile deep after this long.

2. Top Food Porn

Baked mini frittatas with mushrooms, cottage cheese, and feta. Ooohhhh.

3. Top Wine-Related DIY

Because DIYs that are wine-related have their own separate category.

wine rake

Of all the DIYs I talk about and then never actually do, this might NOT be one of them. We really could use some non-cupboard wine glass storage.

Hmm, if only I had a rake…

4. Top Proposal

A new puppy AND a ring!!! Two huge commitments rolled into one!!

Is it poor form to accept one and not the other?

5. Top Bucket List Addition

Canopy walk in Malaysia.

I. Want. To. Do. This!

I’m pretty obsessed with my goal to do a zipline someday, but this might just be even cooler. Since the scenery isn’t whizzing by, you have time to stop and stare.

If only the walkway was made of glass…ha.

6. Top News Breaker

A couple made a puzzle out of this photo and had their relatives put it together at Christmas.

Cute…but I imagine some potential awkwardness if they get everything put together except the tag and the hand on the belly…

7. Top Boys’ Room Decor

Did you know magnetic paint existed? I didn’t.

Slap some magnets on tiny cars and you’ve got yourself a Wall Highway.

I picture the kid being like “Great, Mom, how am I supposed to play with my cars now that you stuck them to the wall 5 feet above me?”

8. Top Food Porn (Part II)

That’s right, two winners in this category-I just couldn’t resist either one. I guess I’m craving cheese.

Open-faced empanadas with tomato, basil, and mozza.

I do not ignore anything caprese, as a rule.

9. Top Way to Hide Your Kids During Dinner Parties

No one’ll think to look under the table!

I live in the Midwest, ok. When it comes to things like hammocks, sometimes this is the best we can do.

10. Top Vacation Photo

Apparently, he was sleeping like this. (Or is that just what they told the kids?)

But sleeping or not, that’s still a giant whale 5 feet away, right?? Do you really want to pull your puny little fishing boat directly into his path?

If you’ve missed previous TTs, here’s a handful of the most recent ones:

October Top Ten

September Top Ten

August Top Ten

July Top Ten

P.S. I was going to include this sweet photo, of a place in Ireland where the stars supposedly align along this bridge once every 2 years. But a quick Google search revealed that, sadly, the photo isn’t real. It also lead me down a rabbit hole of interesting back info about the galaxy and Orion and celestial poles…oh, Internet.

P.P.S. If you’re ever bored at work (it’s Friday, so right now), hop over to Pinterest and select the Travel category. Greatest time suck ever. (Note: if you’re a wanderluster and this is triggering to you, use caution.)

Happy Friday, people!

I love these! My husband proposed to me by tying the engagement ring to my dog that he had given me.
