Hey guys! I was waaay too tired–like barely-forming-sentences tired–last night to write a real post, after spending the day getting certified as a Piyo instructor (more on that soon!). But I think you can get a pretty good idea of what our weekend was like from the pics alone.
Parks happened:
So did the Farmer’s Market.
And a balloon making guy who “wasn’t supposed to make balloons for kids under 3.” What? Why?
Previously in that crumple of paper in the back of the stroller = an orange chocolate chip scone. Yum.
Madisonians aren’t allowed to go downtown without getting a shot of this beauty (it’s a law):
Mason lasted in the stroller for a pretty impressive 45 minutes before it was time to go rogue.
Is that a backwards wave?
He’s really into showing off his mastery of stairs lately, so this doorway was pretty entertaining for awhile.
Park #2: the one with the sand volleyball court that’s used for kid entertainment way more often than actual volleyball.
Watching people fly kites–perfect day for it!
(Not to be confused with a “perfect day”–it was 65 degrees but SO windy, it felt like 45. Ugh.)
Sunday = Piyo training in Green Bay!
I left at 6 AM, drove for 5 hours total, and spent 6 hours in class. Looong. Day. But also a fun, inspiring, and sweaty day.
I was so thankful that I loaded up my iPod for the roadtrip. I had a few episodes of my go-to podcasts, plus a handful from a new podcast I just discovered: High Impact Blogging, which features interviews with well-known health and fitness bloggers (like Monica, Caitlin, and Lindsay, to name a few).
I was not a fan of the interview format at all–they use the SAME EXACT questions in every episode, zzzz–but the interviewees were interesting and inspiring. 5 hours flew by!
I’ll tell ya more about Piyo later this week!
Back at the ranch, Brent and Mason had a dad and son day, which apparently included some play cooking at the Children’s Museum.
Is it too early to get him started on the real thing??
Hope you’re having a marvelous Monday! Speaking of which, I’m linking up with Katie for MIMM!
xoxo

It’s so much fun! :)
Your son is so adorable!! It looks like you had fun and busy weekend. I’m interested in learning more about Piyo. I currently do Les Mills classes but I’ve noticed that my flexibility is really suffering so I’m leaning towards trying yoga to help.
I’m also interested in that Podcast! That is pretty lame they repeat questions but I think it would be cool to hear the voice behind the blogger.

I think you’d like PiYo Sarah! And it would definitely help with flexibility. Check out my post today for more info about it – http://www.fittinpretty.com/piyo-certification-training-day-recap/
