I can’t be trusted around PicMonkey anymore. Their winter/holiday themes are out, and they’re totally triggering my 5-year-old side.
I’m sort of kicking myself that it never occurred to me to use PM for our Christmas cards. (Although, who am I kidding, I’m not creative enough for that.)
One thing I have used PicMonkey for in the past is gift tags, but that’s about as far as my creative muscle will stretch.
So, thanksgiving! How was yours?
Mine was (surprisingly) relaxing and awesome. Mason was so well behaved all weekend, I finally had to confront Brent to find out if he was secretly drugging him.
In the past, we’ve had a LOT of trouble getting Mase to sleep away from home, but this time it was pretty painless! I credit daycare for loosening him up to new environments and routines. Unexpected parenting win!
Thanksgiving Part I went down at Brent’s parents’ house.
Our brother-in-law brought a remote control car that can get up to 50-60 mph. It was completely insane to watch.
The mini eskimo:
Thanksgiving night, we braved the Best Buy crowds and the negative commentary about Black Friday shopping to pick up some free phones.
Thanksgiving Part II happened Saturday at my parents’ house.
They just moved in literally 2 weeks earlier, so this was my first time seeing their new pad.
And their killer lake view.
And the cool brick wall/fireplace separating the living and dining rooms.
A pool table in the basement (oh, and in that left corner is an INDOOR HOT TUB–what?).
Ahh, the piece de resistance…
Even the ride home was shockingly easy…thanks to the new tablet we got for Mason to watch Mickey Mouse on. It velcroes to the back of the headrest and is completely genius.
Riding quarters complete with a ghetto button-down-shirt “window shade.” That’s how we roll.
I’m slowly getting back to the grind today. I have sooo many posts I’m dying to write, but NASM studying is taking over my life right now. 2 weeks to test day!
Hope everyone had a restful weekend!
