First of all, I wanted to announce the winner of the Color Run giveaway:
Congrats Kishna! Check your email. :)
So I thought it would be fun to round out the week with a little survey action. I’m generally very lazy about surveys, because I think I’m pretty boring and who really cares what my favorite color is??
Buuut I know that I like reading other people’s surveys, and I guess a little mindless reading on a Friday never hurt anyone. So here we go!
You’ve probably seen this one floating around the internet:
1. Post the logo on your blog.
2. Thank the person who nominated you – thanks Katie and Holly!!
3. Answer the questions.
4. Choose 10 or so other ladies who blog as your nominees.
5. Post the links to the nominees’ blogs and notify them on their blog.
This is going to make me sound like such a girly-girl, but I love pink and purple.
Every time I try to force myself to branch out and buy clothes in, like, blue or green, they end up sitting in my closet. What is wrong with me??
I’m so scared to answer this…
The truth is that I don’t really like animals that much. Sure, puppies are cute, but I don’t really need one. I used to love cats growing up, but now I’m pretty meh about them.
I did used to have a secret childhood fantasy of owning a gigantic (and shockingly domesticated) white tiger, who would lounge around the house looking exotic and cool.
Those eyes are either saying “I respect you, my beautiful owner who raised me from a pup” or “I will eat you now.”
You’d think I would go for a golden retriever or something normal.
Favorite Non-Alcoholic Drink
I think I’m supposed to say water?
Actually, I’m drinking one of these right now and it’s pretty darn tasty:
Plus, it includes blue green algae (aka spirulina = literally the most nutritious food on the planet), which I found pretty impressive.
Facebook or Twitter
I’m horrible at Twitter! I think I just get overwhelmed by it.
Sometimes I think of something funny to tweet, but then when it comes down to the actual process of getting out my phone and tweeting it, it just feels too laborious. Pathetic right?
I’m not that great at Facebook either, but I’d say my loyalty still lies with good old-fashioned FB.
Clothes: narrow stripes
Home decor: chevron
Life: feeling sad > working out > feeling better
Football: the buttonhook (don’t worry, I had to Google that)
21. Per the most unoriginal reason ever: it’s my birthday number. (Yes, my 21st birthday was my golden birthday!)
TULIPS. No contest.
The husband got me some winter tulips–red and white with evergreens–once, and it was the prettiest bouquet I’d ever seen in my life.
Well, moreso when they opened up. :)
I’m sorry that this is a massive cop-out, but I hereby nominate anyone who would like to do this survey!!
In other, much more serious news, I wanted to give a shout out to Lindsay for her incredible, brave post yesterday on pregnancy struggles (It’s Not Easy for Everyone). I was so sad to read about her situation, but also so inspired to see that more and more women are feeling empowered to talk openly about this stuff.
Pregnancy struggles are much more common than we all think, and I’m not sure why it’s such a taboo thing to talk about. Let’s keep the conversation flowing!
Here are a few other blog posts I’ve seen on the topic:
